Growth opportunities Casual work attire Well established Construction General Contractor, in business for 60 years, is looking for a well-rounded professional to jump in and effectively manage a variety of office and project related tasks in support of our Project Management and Executive teams.
This opportunity has become available due to the retirement of a long-term employee.
Our ideal candidate will possess prior construction industry experience, preferably with a Commercial General Contractor, and a positive, can do attitude who is willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done right, and on time.
Compensation is TBD based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and prior experience.
This addition to our small, close-knit office team will generally be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Communication/collaboration with all project team members with respect to project schedules, submittals, and contractual documents.
- Coordinate and support all areas of the project from startup to closeout.
- Work closely with Project Management team to ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Provide back-up assistance to other project assistant team members when they are absent or overloaded.
- Provide assistance to the Executive team as-directed, as-needed.
- Entering various types of information into our Construction software systems - Assist with coverage of the front desk.
We prefer applicants to have a demonstrated stable employment history with at least 3 years of construction specific industry experience.
The successful candidate will also:
- have outstanding communication skills (written and oral) including proper grammar and spelling.
- possess excellent computer proficiency to include at least an intermediate skill level in Office 365 applications such as Word and Excel.
- be able to effectively manage time, multi-task concurrent projects/priorities while maintaining strict attention to detail and confidentiality.
- be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- prior accounting/bookkeeping experience is a plus.
- College degree preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
